Harry Ferguson (1884-1960) was a tractor builder, inventor in 1919 of the third point with a hydro-lift in 1925 automating expense deferrals of tools: the Ferguson System revolutionized agriculture. 3-point linkage to the agricultural industry becomes an ISO standard in 1948.
In 1933, he released his first modern tractor Ferguson Black. He worked with David Brown in 1933 and then in 1938 with Ford to manufacture its models. Then in 1948, he built himself his own tractors, including Ferguson Petit Gris (Squirrel), a copy of the Ford 9N, always with the Ferguson System.
That latter will become famous among others by its use in Antarctica for the expedition Fuchs-Hillary. These tractors are still valid, with models from manufacturing the same design (especially in Brazil). These technologies are used by all the other brands.
This is a Heller set with one 1/24 plastic of a Ferguson Petit Gris tractor, paints, brush and glue.
